Sniffer Dogs Used by the Germany Researcher to Detect Lung Cancer Patients

Domestic dogs are animals with extreme sense of smell. Some researchers presumed that a dog can distinguish a smell about 50 kilometres away. And in most countries dogs are used by the police force to detect illicit products such as marijuana and many others.
According to the recent study done in Germany at the Schillerhoehe hospital ,dogs were included in the experiment to sniff and smell breathe samples. Scientists pleased to discover that dogs can able to detect lung cancer from human breath.Sniffer dogs used in an experiment to smell breath samples.
The research study involved trained dogs and 220 volunteers including lung cancer patients ,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) victims and No lung cancer patients represented as the experiment controllers.
Research outcome shows that 71% lung cancer patients identified and 93% of non lung cancer patients were precisely detected.
Marvelously the dogs managed to distingush lung cancer from COPD and tobacco smoke.
