Major Urban centres in Zimbabwe

Harare:is the capital city located in Harare Metropolitan province.The seat of power is situated in the north-east of the nation.In the city centre there is the House of Parliament and some of the country's best hotels.The head offices of the government ,embassies of various countries,UN agencies,Zimbabwe Trade Investment centre .
Harare is one of the developed city in SADC and is constantly growing in regional economic significance .Its sunshine status is rapidly restoring as once visitors frequently remarked on its cleanliness.It is the home of National Art Galleries,Mukuvisi woodlands,Snake world,Lion and Cheetah Park,Chivero recretional Park with its lake and is not far from landscaped gardens ,citrus estates. balancing Rocks,Botanic gardens ,Variety and Testing Centre ,large training colleges and research centres ,Gwebi college of Agriculture,Chibero and Hunderson research station all are within the peri-urban areas of the great city.
Bulawayo is Zimbabwe's second largest city in Bulawayo province. The city host the National Headquarters for the Railways of Zimbabwe.The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair and main Industrial undertakings.The city is a striving commercial centre ,have offices of Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries (CZI),ZimTrade ,Zimbabwe Chamber of Commerce and all banks in Zimbabwe.
Bulawayo is the city of historical associations and arts.The Khami ruins ,Syrene sculptural centre,Jairos Jiri rehabilitation centre and others social and arts and crafts centres
MUTARE is the eastern gateway to Zimbabwe from Beira corridor in Mozambique.Running along the corridor is the main road from Mutare to the port of Beira,and also the vital oil pipeline through which flows Zimbabwe's liquid fuel requirements .
Mutare is also a rapidly growing industrial centre and is an ideal starting point for visits to ,Nyanga,Chipinge,Vumba,Hot springs and Chimanimani mountains.Mutare is the largest city in Manicaland province.
Gweru was established in 1894,is the capital of Midlands province.The city is a major industrial complex and is the home of some of Zimbabwe 's producing items such as shoes,glassware ,metal alloys and variety of dairy products.By virtue of it geographical position is the most central city in the country and has become an important rail and road junction.The development of other cities in the Midlands province Kwekwe,Redcliff and Kadoma lies main with industrial background of steel,iron and textiles .
MASVINGO the oldest town in Zimbabwe ,was established by early settlers as they trekked northwards.The Great Zimbabwe is 27km south of the city and is nearby Lake Mutirikwi with its game park.
The other cities are Chinhoyi ,the capital of Mashonaland west province the city is near the wonders of Chinhoyi caves and other tourists hotsports in Kariba. Marondera is the big city in Mashonaland east province and around the city there are imara game reserves ,Glassland research centres , Kushinga Phikelela Agriculture College and beautiful private schools Peterhouse and Watershed. Uma private university is becoming populat in this cool city.
Kwekwe and and redcliff are also growing big cities in Midlands province where there is plenty of mineral deposits Iron is the chief mineral. Hwange on the other hand is the home of large coal deposit used in thermal eletricity and industrial uses. Chiredzi and Beit bridge are glowing because of their sugar industries and boarder post to South Africa respectively.
