Unlike many diseases which we felt pain ,before we treat them or killed us. Hepatitis B disease is a silent killer.
So many people can get interested to know more about this disease hepatitis we shall discuss its categories and symptoms later below. But now lets talk of one of important organ in our body which is liver. Liver is the problem for the emergency of hepaptitis in our body ,if not functioning propery.
The main purpose of liver is to filter poisonous substance from our bloodstreams . In other words liver is our carburettor . It monitors chemicals within our bodies ,acting as a factory ,laboratory and even a chemical storehouse among other five hundred functions which gives it the wonderful largest and warmest organ in our bodies.
Situated protectively tucked under the diaphragm. The gall bladder is underneath tipped just below the edge of the liver.This liver can be diseased to affect our general health and wellbeing.The liver is liable to receive viral hepatitis with its long incubation period of several weeks.There are two types of viruses which are one from contaminated food and the other is transmittable.After few days of indefinite symptoms with fever ,the victim may show characteristic features of dark urine and pale stools. This may develop to jaundice.
Now lets take a look of the hepatitis and its categories.
There are five viruses known responsible for causing hepatitis ,but the three major known groups are A,B and C. Do you heard of Hepatitis A,B or C.
HEPATITIS A VIRUS(HAV)
The virus can survive in salt or fresh water and in ice cubes. Through eating fresh seafood from water contaminated with sewerage. Having close contact with an infected person either by sharing food ,drink or eating utensils. Not make it habit of washing hands after using the toilet any person can easily contract HAV.
HAV is responsible for chronic illness ,which the body clears itself of the virus within weeks or months.vaccination can prevent hepatitis A. The best treatment is adequate nutrition together with rest . Alcohol and other drugs that can burden liver should be avoided such as acetaminophen until consulted a medical practitioner who examine the condition of the liver.
HEPTITIS B VIRUS (HBV)
HBV is found in the blood ,semen and vaginal fuids of infected people. The way virus can be transmitted is through birth,body -piercing,instruments not sterilized,shared needles,razors ,clippers,toothebrushes and sexual intercourse.
According to the medical researches done HBV is not spread by insects,coughing ,hand contacts,hugging,dry kissing,breastfeeding ,sharing food,drink,chopsticks or eating utensils. HBV is high risk to children than adults who easily recover.
Untreated ,chronic hepatitis B cause liver failure and death .However vaccination can prevent it.
HEPATITIS C VIRUS HCV
HCV is transmitted in much similar way like HBV for more information visit:www.who.int.
Please note the symptoms of all forms of hepatitis is like flulike and some include jaundice. With hepatitis B and C the liver may be severely damaged by the time the symptoms appeared.
