Among the ten planets and several moons discovered in the milky way galaxy of the solar system in the ever expanding universe .Earth is the only planet so far capable of sustaining life.
According to the brochure issued by watchtower bible and tract society of Pennsyvania (2010) which titled was life created, will be part of the basis which shall build up this discussions.
Earth still remains a mystery for its capability to be the only source of life. The major reasons is that Earth's regional position and its moon in the milky way galaxy can able to balance the distance not too close or too far away from the sun.In its regional position Earth 's temperature is suitable to make life possible than any other planets in the universe.Although Mars is believed to be able to give life only if the concentration of its carbon is suppressed by the introduction of vegetation , which the scientists believed is one of the major contributing factors for the survival of animals and human beings on this wonderful Earth planet.
Ozone layer is one of the marvelous blanket of gases which protects life from harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation. I come to realise June 2009 when I was a student teacher , tasked by Environmental Africa to compaign against massive depletion of ozone layer. As a teacher in training.I went into the school library to have more understanding of what really is ozone layer ,so that I can put it into simpler words to the level of primary school children to act a drama ,poems as an awareness compaigns to the community against some of their harmful activities which cause the patches of ozone to lose its protection for the sustainence of life and to avoid the Global warming phenomenon which is now popular with Environmentalists in these contemporary times.
The ozone which is a unique gift this planet have to protect many forms of life which include all animals ,insects ,micro-Organisms ,aqua-life including planktons.These plantons which are numerous around the poles of Earth in the ice oceans are discovered by British Environmentalists to absorb access carbon dioxide generated by human activites and clean it back into oxygen to maintain the standard level of oxygen necessary for life. For example Earth's atmosphere is like an apple , the thin green outer part is the only conducive part capable of sustaining life.
Earth has natural cycles for life which includes cycle of water,nitrogen ,carbon and oxygen. These compounds and elements circulated evenly from the soils,water bodies and living organisms to the atmosphere and back again to complete the cycle.
During August 13-15 2010, when the Johavah's witnesses held their annual convention in Harare Zimbabwe. I personally attended the final day of the convention to hear how they go on with their preachings to the followers as a way of making people aware of the biblical prophecies and the end of this system of existing wickedness.I liked the preaching by the guest of honour from their Governing body in USA ,who said God Jehovah can protect his people ,but during these times of wickedness .Jehovah's people like other people around world can fall accidently in the natural disasters and are also the victims of prevailing circumstances. These natural disasters which are rampaging our areas are some of the signs christians fortold shall come as an indicator of end of the wicked world to be replaced by new paradise Earth. Remember the witnesses in Haiti's deadly Eathquake,the floods taking place in Asian countries because they are taken promptly by what is taking place and left many dead others with no food ,accommodation or medical supplies. If they took a summer holiday and travel to the mildy winters of Southern Africa and Zimbabwe in particular would we say Jehovah God protected them.Really!
In this exciting convention I then come to my full conclusion that this Earth is far- far away from physical destruction which the Astronomers assumed that Earth together with other planets started some 15 billion years ago and are predicting that about 20 Billion years to come all the planets shall no longer have energy to balance around the sun and will be destroyed. Basing on these findings human generations according to this system of existing order of things and spanning to the fact that a generation can last upto a century which means there will be over 200 million generations before the physical torment of the Earth's destruction. This physical destruction is when Earth lost its energy to maintain its optimum distance away from the sun .This energy lost consequently led to Earth drawn closer to the sun thus all the metric volumes of sea waters will disappear in the atmosphere and there shall be no free oxygen neither plants nor animals shall able to live in such changes of this nature.
