PAIN IS THE MAIN SOURCE OF HAPPINESS INSPIRATION WITHIN THE BODY !

The book by Philip Yancey(2001) Where is God when it hurts? A comforting healing Guide for coping with hard times, is one of the most exciting book I ever come across which stimulates me to write some articles on pain and suffering.
The word pain , it is an unacceptable condition which shouldn't be found grieving within our bodies. And to most of us suffering is a curse upon us because of wickedness.
Nevertheless to be frank enough with you pain is the extremely useful ,for us to be joyful. Really! Yes ,thus why athletes endure painful of thigh and cardio-muscles tearing and wearing away whilst on the race course, the perseverance is simply because there is a reward after crossing the finishing line. Mothers complaign of the painful complications during pregnance and at giving out births ,but they can have 2,3 ,4 or 5 babies ,because pain diminished as the tears of joy takeover the endurance of pain.
The fact in this real life situation according to George Wald a Nobel prize winner cited by Yancey(2001)says, ''When you have no experience of pain ,it is rather hard to experience joy.'' Wald was supported by co-writer of the book ,Philip Yancey(2001) 'Where is God when it hurts? A comforting healing Guide for coping with hard times' Doctor Paul Brand, postulates that,''At one time ,I thought of pain as the opposite of happiness.'' Dr Brand illustrates pain and happiness on a graph as two contrasting conditions we experience in our bodies.where pain is on X-axis and happiness on the Y-axis. When pain is at peak we experience acute unhappiness. Whilst peak happiness or ecstasy there is no pain at all.In between according to his graph is a quiet normal living. "My goal I thought ,was to face firmly towards happiness and away from pain . But now I see things differently ,if I drew such a graph today . It would have a single central peak with a surrounding play . The peak would be life with a capital L ,the point at which pain and pleasure meet. The surrounding plain would be sleep or apathy or death." Adds Dr Brand in analysis of his graph.
In addition to Dr Brand's analysis of pain and joy . Chinese Philosopher Lin Yutang in his book My Country and My People quoted by the aforementioned author above ,combines plain with pleasure ,"To be dry and thirsty in hot and dusty land -and to feel great drops of rain on my bare skin -ah is this not happiness: To have an itch in the private part of my body -and finally to escape from my friends and to a hiding place where I can scratch -ah is this not happiness." This long list of happiness experiences was tallied by Augustine in the same author that,"Everywhere a greater joy is preceded by a greater suffering."
Therefore problem with our contemporary world today is to promote comfortable life controlled in an environment where we have tendency to blame our happiness on pain which we identify as the great enermy."If we could somehow exercise pain from life ah ,then we would be happy."(Yancey 2001).
Finally I want to left you a recipe for thought that never dream to live a happy life without pain, you are daydreaming in an utopian world which never be in real life situation ,in order to fight problems of obesity, heart diseases we should embark on the comfortable painful regular exercises to get our bodies refreshing into our joyful excitements. Happiness lies not on avoiding pain completely ,but rather its role as a protective warning system and harnessing it to work on your behalf sarcastically against you.Remember No Pain No Gain is a common adage which popular associated with the Christians who say, strain your body following Christ to enjoy ever lasting life. If you involve in exercises you help your to avoid obesity, and prolongs life. The only route to live a comfortable life is to avoid sedentary lifestyle and condition your body to fight cardio-diseases and improve blood circulation.
