The Chinese man after frustrated by lack of visitors in his site, whilst sitting on his room ,he saw a mosquito and publish an article on his site which reads,"mosquito for sell needed dead or alive to be used by doctors or any interested part".He receives over 25 000 hits within two days after posted it on various trade forums.
On this new era of globalisation the internet wizard is openning new opportunities of doing business with anyone connected online through the telephone,3G,broadband or satellite.Even developing countries like Zimbabwe the communication operators are digging trenches right across the country to join their subscribers with the rest of the world. It is a fascinating adventure if you take advantage new developments in technological advancement which change human thoughts and the way they get in business and travelling.
The developments of travel business and interaction is more clearly changing.A globalisation spirit is taking hold. The Chinese can now travel to America ,Africans to Europe just by connected through blogs and reviews.Travel Business persons are selling their products through blogging ,as customers now want products brands that speak back to them. Many people can host sites and sell travel products and services or writing reviews that generate traffic and able to make money with adverts place on their blog sites or websites. What is of special beautiful to me is of creating many sources of inviting people to visit your sites and able to make good living out of your efforts.
I also found it exciting to view developments from perspective of social networking. The key to success in travel business or any other endeavor lies in learning to associate with people who can become your clients for your dream to be a reality. Some concepts are often misleading and opposed to develop your own successful travel business.
The idea of business is with the faculties of mind ,working in our thoughts, meet our needs.Mind is the source of insight ,perception.discernment .judgement ,wisdom, clarity .These qualities practicing the daily expression of them will results in productivity ,success and fulfillment.
Although I lived in poverty and experienced it for many years ago,I saw proof of this, at the time I was training as an education teacher .When I was on the teacher's practice , pupils delighted me to see that education is really selection of culture and a learned person should completely change behavioural atittudes.
Because I had just recently been gaining a clearer understanding of how people are becoming successful and financially independent is the travel business ideas of having a successful tourists hotspots.
At the time ,the world economy was going into recessions .I realised that people tuned their minds to find the new ways of making their travel business going according to the law of mind which absolutely asserts its ultimate supremacy.
According to the Greek' s definition of economy is the ordery way households are managed propery. It has nothing to do with the assessions of economists who talk of scarcity ,laws of deminishing returns ,product life cycles ,GDP etc.
When your mind is organised and associated with true clients who has similar vision with yours ,you mind is always on foot to cause you to act in orderly ways.If you clearly grasped this and felt deeply to be filled with conviction that your travel business idea has all it needs for its sustainance ,maintenance and continuance. So you can look for clients and inspire them to do something to support your business. But you have to change ways of doing travelling business for the betterment of the improvements in your way of transforming business of tourism standards.
The Chinese man who created a wierd visitors on his sites ,also received many business people all over the world who wish to offer him employment ,but only concerned to stick to his own business to be successful enterprenuer.
Well if you get the concept of improving your travel business ,you don't stop on just thinking and fold your arms and expect things to change miraculously. Anyway doing this is not easy as you may think. But you shall realised that your thoughts about travel business had never changed. My appreciation of one mind's of infinite ideas had expanded .I felt that now you are ready to move beyond your community activities to mind your travel business where you can inspire other people everywhere and have a fruitful business together.
Now its time to be back to your conscience and practice your zeal to involve in business that's proved a rewarding, fulfilling ,mind-stretching "business" to be in and start marketing yourself before any tourist hotspots.
In this blog ready to be reciptised with good issues concerning your well being environment wildlife health life skills and zimbabwe issues

What is Visual Art?
To know as much about the Zimbabwean Art before embarking on buying or criticise artworks is first necessary and desirable to clarify it.
There are mystries in art, although at times it may seemed to be obscure and incomprehensible. This is particulary true of Art.
Art can literally defined as the translation and interpretation of nature in terms of human skills. This definition is deliberately wide and encompassing because Art itself is distinguished by the freedom with which it ranges over an immensely wide field.
The language of visual arts are concerned with expressions which can be seen.An artist is a person who expresses himself visually .Artists can make an exact record of what had seen or can make an expression of things .An Artist paint things of beauty if it is so moved or can record unbeautiful things in protest of their existence.
The desire which a painter may feel to express as a sensation or record on occassion in colours and shapes is also common to the poet. When an Artist moved by environment or wants to interpretes his reaction in words the writer of pros may construct a whole story around the response to conditions which had moved him/her.
The music composer may group sounds together to recreate in the listerner something that inspired the artist
Work of Art has been said that there are two parts to the life of the work of Art.Its creation and the understanding of it.Most Artists are conscious of the need to make their reason for painting a picture understood to the people whom may see it later. When a painting doesn't communicate anything at all it becomes merely a personal exercise on the part of the Artist and has only fulfilled half its purpose.
Only the objects can do the talking in all cases in the work of visual Arts.

VISUAL ARTS DEVELOPMENT IN ZIMBABWE A CONCERN!
Art is often regarded as luxury and the discipline is relegated to the people who viewed highly as sufering from mental insanity and is a noble profession.
Art is not a luxury but a necessity , from a very young age to think critically and to adults to use their hands in making artworks for sale.Art is more critical ,for developing artistic skills in growing children as they are being prepared for the very real possibility of taking art as a profession. And for inspired Artists to make a decent living from their profession. Some artists become part of the informal sector benefit from an ability to make products based on their cultural backgrounds and their skillful hands.
Since independence 30 years ago Zimbabwean Art was delineated along lines of talented artists. Art was taken as a profession of the very few and the rest of schools only allowed to teach craft in conformity to its general complexity. Which geared for producing semi-skilled labour. Although the education systems improved to some extent in the education of the majority since independence. Art is still maginalised up to today. The ministry of education sports ,arts and culture is not yet developed a tertiary visual arts syllabus to cater for those who need to further their own artistic skills.
The main goal of tertiary visual arts is to develop aesthetic literacy of the adult . Prior to making art the child should understand what is art and its various functions. Hence this embraces the knowledge and understanding of art and aesthetics in the development of critical faculties which foster analysis of the art of individual and others.Art form that gives primacy to an idea over craftmanship.
French artist and theorist Marcel Duchamp(1887-1968) the ideas of conceptual art, emphasising the elimination of objects as marketable products. The likes of Tashinga Gondo are the other skilled visual artists Zimbabwe is proud of simply by making art products on the international markets. There are prominant Zimbabwean artists who proved beyond any reasonable doubt that there is need to formalise art education in Zimbabwe from primary school, secondary up to tertiary level. To have more artists in sector. The likes Tapfuma Gutsa, Nicholas Mukombaranwa ,Dominic Benhura , Egnes Nyanhungo and the list is too large to mention.
The other elite group which comprises of Celia Winter -Irving ,Tom Blomefield ,Dr Frank Mckwen ,Father Groeber ,Edward Canon Patterson and so on, are the pioneers who shade light to the mordern Art as of prime necessity in any state and Zimbabwe in particular for its cultural Artistic beliefs , activities and products.
These days we have more sophisticated understanding of the world around us ,than the last 50 years or so where on world was not yet developed in information technology. Visual literacy ,stimuli and exposure to media based technology brings about artistic expression and response to the needs of visual Art framework.
The education policy should look forward not only to teach the history of own country ,but should put more emphasis on learning of arts and its cultural beliefs.
The only unique way of teaching arts and cultural aspects successfully, is through public education. This help to know our children better and shapern the other sectors of economy which is art industry.
The ideal place to educate public is in the schools near their communities.
A lack of general formal education made aspects of visual arts appropriate for any prospective artists. However for variety of reasons which had nothing to do with any form art we easily need to have visual artists. There is always a link between informal and formal art education .
From the onset the teachers and the children should show art as a means of making a living, thus establishing a relationship between art and the society.
The direction of early artists ,a genuine belief in spiritual beliefs for the systems of the real world as visualised in art become a tradition of those view the success of artistic sector in economic sense.
In this computer and internet age there are increasing employment opportunities for artist in particular fields of graphic desigh, web design and advertising industry. Art as a curricular subject is gaining its awareness of its importance in all civilised disciplines of communication technology.
In Zimbabwe art sector fully need to develop artists who can start from priortising it in its education system and cultural backgrounds which can nurture and perfect those with talents in art as far as visual art sector is concerned!!

Traditional Pottery in Zimbabwe
The use of clay as media in making pots was a craft started long back as the pots were used for cooking and decorative purposes in this article in belief we are going to focus on pottery in Zimbabwe.
Gale (1977)defines pottery as a collective term that may be used to describe anything made out of clay which has be fired and heated through a certain temperature.
Historical background of pottery in Zimbabwe dates back to several thousand of years ago infact in the early settlement and the beginnings of using fire.
It was an essential part of Zimbabwe's material culture which can evidently traced through the various traditions discovered through archeological excavations.
Pots used in various ocassions and purposes such as gifts,to hold grains ,water ,preparation of food ,brewing of beer and so on.The decoration of kitchens were made colourful and beautiful by the use of pottery.
Archeologists are able to identify people
by findings of pottery which show distinctive decorations of particular cultures.Variations of these designs for example incessions ,cross hatching ,stamps ,chevrons etc. These occur right through lend distinctive characters to Zimbabwe pottery.
However with the emergence of colour the decorative qualities appeared to have decline leading to the introduction of mass production of durable container vessels of all types. This implies that although the traditional craft was still practiced ,the fine qualities of the past was disappearing for example of the old craft have been superceded by some chevron decorations applied with modern paints.
Manufacture of traditonal pots was practiced by women who were the main decorators of kitchens and other household rooms, prepared food ,gathering food and brewing beer.
The clay was collected from specific layers which occur in the sub soils. The dry clay must be grounded into fine powder and this normally done on a flat grinding stone. After sifting with winnowing basket. The dry powder left behind was mixed with water and was ready for pottery.
A circular platform was used as a base for the pot which was built up in a series of coils.A wooden shaping tool was used to help to shape the pot into the required size and form,If the pot was to be decorated it would be incisized with a pointed object before it dry.The finished pot will be stored in a cool dry place for 48 hours before being given the final smoothing with a rounded river pebble which known as "hurungudo" in vernacular chishona dialect. This polishing process gives the vessel a shining surface .
A final drying process now takes place and the pot was left in the sun for 12 hours .On the 4th day firing takes place.Pots are placed on top of each other, mouth down in a hallow.

THE HISTORY OF GREAT ZIMBABWE NATIONAL MONUMENT
"Great Zimbabwe or stone buildings" is the name given to stone ruins spread out over 9 722 hectares within the morden day city of Masvingo.
The word "Great" distiquishes the site from hundred small ruins around Zimbabwe. The majority of people were speakers of a language known as " CHIVANHU" or "CHISHONA"which consists of many dialects the major ones being CHIZEZURU,CHIKARANGA,CHIMANYIKA AND CHINDAU.
The shona called themselves vanhu who speak a language chivanhu .The popular name shona is a ndebele word derived from "ensthonalanga "which means people of the west named by Mzilikazi.
The history behind the name "ZIMBABWE", has not been established. The word Zimbabwe is clearly from the chikaranga dialect of chivanhu or chishona. The name is a short for for "ZIMBA REMABWE" a shona dialect Chikaranga the term which means the great or big house built of a stone boulder.
A linguistic analysis of the name Zimbabwe clearly indicates that the origin of the name refers to the ancient city of Great Zimbabwe whose huge building were built of stone boulders.
The Chikaranga -speaking shona people are found around Great Zimbabwe in the current province of Masvingo and have been known to have inhabited the area since the great building's inception.
The other argument is that Zimbabwe is contracted form of "dzimba woye" which simply means houses in Zezuru another shona dialect. This term specifically reserved for chiefs ' houses or graves.
It should also be noted that the Chizezuru speaking people are found to the North-east of Great Zimbabwe ,about 500 kilometres away.
The first theory could be said to have the advantage of a linguistic analysis that produced the outcome that it ties in the physical nature of the ancient city of Great Zimbabwe and that is based on language in use today among the people who are found in the surrounding area today.
The second thought of the name Zimbabwe brings in the concept of veneration of the ancient city which is known to be associated with Great Zimbabwe as national monument. However , a linguistic analysis would seem not to as sound as that of the first thought. For example "dzimba woye" in both Chikaranga and Chizezuru ,be sensibly contradicted to become Zimbabwe.
Dzimba literally means "houses" and "woye" is merely a sound used in respectful solicitation .Thus the two words can't lead to the name Zimbabwe.
Moreover the Chikaranga word "bwe" doesn'exist in Chizezuru the word is "dombo". It should be noted that Chizezuru and Chikaranga are merely dialects of one language called Chivanhu or Chishona only a few words lie outside their intersection for example "bwe" and "dombo".The lack of proximity of the Zezurus to the Great Zimbabwe seems to dimiss the second theory as baseless.
The veneration of Great Zimbabwe as a shrine or religious centre started sometime after its inhabitants deserted the palace. The various historians cited the reasons such as overpopulation dwindle of resouces such as fire wood or out break of diseases, due to persistent droughts, forced inhabitants to look for greener pastures for their cattle which was their staple food. The decline in gold trade led people to seek other avenues for trade.Conservation was no longer practiced and some people left the area because they want to form their state ,for example Nyatsimba Mutota.
Great Zimbabwe was associated with the chiefs courts, veneration and religious shrines, for instance there is a venerated stone boulder "dombo ramwari" (stone of God) as noted above dombo is the Chizezuru word for bwe in Chikaranga..
There is also a place known as chibwedziva in nearby CHIREDZI which also indicates a culture of veneration stone structure as well as water in natural dams and lakes.

Zimbabwe the beautiful country for tourists .
Zimbabwe is much more than just somewhere to have a vacation:It is a place capable of elating body and soul.It is also one of the most nature-packed landlocked country in southern Africa.

The country has some rare characteristics, derived from geological heritage that allowed ancient plant and animal species to survive and develop ,isolated from the rest of the world.Zimbabwe according to the geologist is part of the gondwanaland which dates back to 250 million years ago.
Pehaps this heritage explains the incredibly beautiful contrasts of its geograpgy:mountain chains that are the famous great dyke, mavhuradonha ,marabada hills ,Nyangu mountains and many others, heavy rainfall, dry high country basins , lakes and full flowing rivers. The dormant volcanos originates the land some curious forms ,with rises slopes combining the greens of an incomparable vegetation with the blues of waters of the beloved land.
Statistics show that 75% of the tourists arriving in Zimbabwe visit the Victoria Falls and the Zimbabwe Ruins.
Like most of the seven wonders of the world Great Zimbabwe and victoria Falls combined what tourists want to spend their leisure enjoy this manmade infrustructure and the natural flowing waters that thunders as the great sound produced.
On the eastern highlands the tourist enjoy the vegetation and birds which singing melodious pitchs in the evergreen vegetation.
And no visit to this area would complete without view the sea on the Mozambique coast .Here fishing the trout fish .
The highest peak where snow is only found on this ceiling and the beauty of nature as you view different species of both animals and plants.
The Bvumba mountains which situated to the south east of Mutare become the best play ground of golf .With remarkable towering thausand of feet above on the mountains viewing the aesthetic of nature seeing diifferent colours in one of the coolest places found in savanna woodlands.
Try taking a leisurely drive up the Bvumba mountains ,a steep winding mountain road which in places is only wide enough for your car whch would put many a mountain track to shame.Drops which are sometimes as deep as 600 metres are only centmetres away.
If you are of the more adventurous type ,shotover jet has just the trip for you.Whistling along at tree-top level in a jet-powered hericopter you marvel at the beauty of this picturesque location with its snowcapped mountain peaks reaching skywards while down below water-skiers seem balanced on the air as they ski across a crastal clear mountain pool.
Then go down through winding canyons ,and from below look up at the rocks which disappear out of view.
Then it's time for change as the helicopter bowls around the corner and comes to rest.
The most traditional delicacies of Zimbabwe cuisine are barbecued beef ,chicken, mutton, goat's meat accompanied by stiff porridge from grounded corn .As part of the national's tourism campaign .The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority offices give tourists restaurant guides .Leading restaurants also offer an extremely varied fare of international dishes.

ZIMBABWE'S CULTURE AND EDUCATION ON LANGUAGE ISSUE!
Zimbabwe's culture as a national culture is trick , since it has a lot of external influence by virtue of its history pre-colonial ,colonial and post colonial era.
Culture is basically the thinking and doing of people. It comparises the dressing styles, art ,history ,craft ,philosophy ,architecture ,customs ,music ,drama ,codes of behaviour eating habits ,transport and language.
Culture is influenced by external and internal factors. It appears to be static ,but because of influenced by environment it is dynamic.
Zimbabwe 's National Cultural Policy objective 14:Promote the African language inorder to make them effective tools in the country's socio-economic development." The African languages found in Zimbabwe are Chishona and its six dialects, Ndebele ,Venda, Tonga and Shangaan. Although there are great strides in promoting African languages in Education system.
English is the still the national language as shown by communication in the press media, electronic media, courts and law, schools and most official functions in government circles.
The fact is that Zimbabwean leaders that are political ,religious and educational are without option because the language gain it memondum since the colonial era and covers the whole nation despite different ethnic groups.
The idea of promoting vernacular language in Zimbabwe can only be done at a ethic community not as national since it can frustrated by modern African elite.
The actual facts to note is that numerous letters used to communicate are from English. To reach a wider audience one has to use English which is by far used to write education books ,stationery ,notices ,road signs into Chishona or Ndebele would be too expensive though nationalistic or patriotic a gesture! The use of any African vernacular is actually unnecessary and wasteful , since English is now not just a language of colonizers ,but also for Zimbabweans.
It is fully part of Zimbabwean culture which the Zimbabweans are actually cherish.
I also noted that the NGOs promoted our ethnic languages as they donate lot of money to print books in local language . SIDA, DFID,USAID ,IRISH AID the list is endless who contributed to promotion of African languages in formal education system. The English language is effectively used to disseminate information and there may have translations if the goal is to succeed.
When it comes to language I want to argue that we should not be over zealous or disproportionately proud of vernacular languages. But we should observe how influencing is our language in communication with others. Today there are so many people who are promoting their language on the internet. They are so many Zimbabweans in diaspora who want to communicate their languages everyday. And they are so many people who may also emulate Zimbabwean culture and want to learn to speak one of the local languages.
Let also learn from those countries colonised by Portugal. These are Mozambique and Angola their experiences where Portuguese has been used to unify the numerous ethnic groups. The Portuguese in these countries is spoken even by those people who never go to school and young children ,unlike in Zimbabwe where you have to go to school to speak and write in English. In Zimbabwean schools pupils are encouraged to communicate in English for better performance in external examinations. Zimbabweans are proud of English as it enhances learning in science and technology which are the hope of mankind to provide solutions in the social challenges and where computer and information technology is dominating.
On the national dress Zimbabwe culture is gradually formulating her own dress code .
Inconclusion I believe that external influences do not destroy a culture .Remember any social civilization develop rapidly through contact with other cultures and select the best in education system.By so doing we will even become more patriotic and honourable in promoting our country's culture and its education.

THE ROLE OF AN ARTIST IN A SOCIETY'S HEALTH AND WELLBEING
The role of an artist needs to be taken from the historical context.History has much information for the work of writers and artists ,sculptors, macrame crafters and painters who curved stones, woven threads and painted walls. The artists, crafters and writers has the ability to show the society its various faces in terms of its beauty and ugliness. At times its worst and the best. They pretend our identity, the noise ,the exposed knowledge and the hidden knowledge of ourselves and our sorroundings, our environment.Italo Calvino says,"Society today demands that the writer raise his voice if he wants to be heard, propose ideas that will have impact on the public, push all his instinctive reactions to extremes."All important is to identify them their roles in society ,their work speak for themselves.Never mind of the bitterness and self-centredness.It seems we run short of our capacity to doubt our perspectives. As writers ,crafters and artists society realised that life can be lived differently guided by new invented values and morals which give more dignity to human life. The landscape of our emotions, our hearts, might not be always an enjoyable sight ,especially when drawn or sculpted by fingers that are informed by conscience and commitment.Art deep into the recesses over memory to identify what is lost. The idea of history repeating itself is a noble as the human beings has the tendency to forget and disregards the history of their scars.
A Mexian ,Octavio Paz once says, civilisation is equate to culture the style of living and dying. It shows that the erotic and culinary arts, dancing and burial,,courtesy and curses, work and leisure, ritual and festivals ,punishments and rewards, dealings with the dead and with the ghost people who our dreams ,attitudes towards women and children old people and strangers , enemies and allies, eternity and the present, here now and the beyond.
Perspectives , dreams , a cosmovision , a way of being the world ,organising it and being organised by it.That is culture and our cultural identity is born out of that.We search for meaning and art is what it searches.
Given the expression that art and culture are regarded as synonymous.Art include various forms ,such as ,painting ,macrame, sculpture ,drama ,music ,and advertising.Art is also defined in broad sense as specialties such as, fine arts, visual arts, performing arts(some of which are perceived to be more prestigious than others depending on who is producing the art and their relationship to the domint culture.)Some of the arts became extinct as it was regarded as produced by illiterate who believed to use media which were not recognised as aesthetically pleasing and not determined what is appropriate in a society.
Art represents various roles of culture which encode in symbols. These symbols are used to portray culturally specific meanings. For example in Zimbabwe stone sculpture can convey messeges through the symbols they used symbols which only understood by specific group of people in a culture.
Artistic methods have been used to promote health and avoid particular diseases .The awareness campaigns for disease outbreak has used posters ,leaflets ,videos and images to convince the population that certain forms of behaviour are more healthier than others. The artists in various specalties are invited to produce works on particular theme related to health.
Partcipating in art forms such as , music, dance and drama can profoundly contribute to a person 's sense of well being and spiritual health. The audience have only to look for people who are dancing wearing happy faces responding to the messege conveyed.Music can be used in the same way to promote heath .For example in Zimbabwe musicians produced songs which played on various shows in plight of HIV AND AIDS, CHOLERA among other disease outbreaks.
There are many ways in which different art forms are currently being used to maintain health .For example ,refexology, massage ,aroma therapy, color therapy,,dance and drama..Some people consider to take part in the activities for the health of their bodies.
In addition looking at beautiful objects is much believed to be a good contribution to the wellbeing. This is part of reasons why people visited art galleries, sculpture gardens, purchase paintings ,weavings, basketry and scupture to adorn their houses. Some of the decorated houses are found in Zimbabwe 's rural areas.
There are some ways people create art forms which bring health to their homes through use of tranquil interior colours, soothing music and cheerful paintings on the walls.
This article has attempted to illustrate the ways in which art and health are inextricably linked.it also referred to the involvement of artists in the production of health messeges and images.Where attempts have been made to involve the artists in their creative work and eye catching images have produced.
In Zimbabwe context these images are culturally appropriate taking concidence that the artist use the social background from the community the images are directed.
Finally ,it is important for artists themselves to be aware of negative aspects of the production process, both in terms of their own health and longevity ,and the potential for creating images which may be offensive and consequently damage the health of others.

FACTS ABOUT ZIMBABWE'S AGRICULTURAL ECONOMY!
Zimbabwe around late 19th century was admired by the British Business mogul and imperialist Cecil John Rhodes after he perceived that in the land there is lot of gold like in South Africa.
Rhodes sent his concession team to persuade the then powerful king Lobengula to give them permission to do mining in the Mashonaland.
After Rhodes identified that there is no suficient minerals ,but the land is suitable for other enterprises such as farming,He resort to agricuture.
The Shona and Ndebele people later realised that the Whites are not their saviours but rather colonisers of their land. The land struggle dates back from this era until today Zimbabwe politics is still centred on land question.
What is Zimbabwe's economy on Agriculture?
AGRICULTURE: Zimbabwe experiences a wide range of temperature, rainfall and soil conditions which are good for various agricultural enterprises. Most of Zimbabwe areas receives a lot of rainfall in summer season which range from October to April.
The eastern highlands receives over 1000mm of rainfall per annum and is very reliable in these places. The farmers mainly specialised in decidious fruits, potatoes, timber plantations and very intensive livestork ranching including sheep rearing.
The most parts of Mashonaland including Harare,Mutare,Masvingo,Gweru and surrounding places has rainfall range of 600mm to 800mm per year and these places are where Maize the national staple food grown, tobacco, horticultural crops, and intensive to semi-intensive livestork ranching done.
The lowveld and Zambezi valley including the Bulawayo and surrounding places receives rainfall below 400mm and is very unreliable. The most successful enterprises in Agriculture include cattle ranching, cotton under irrigation and sugarcane plantations.
A great potential also exists for the production of irrigated crops during the winter cropping.Soils vary throughout the country ,for the most part they are sandy granite based areas. Heavy red and black soils are found in some places around the whole country.
Recent years have been marked by an impressive development in the adoption of advanced production techniques. With large scale commercial and peasant farming ,aided by a wide range of government assistance .The agriculture sector developed to the point at which it contributes a major share of the country 's GDP and creates employment to the 80% of the workforce.
However the development was slowed down since 2000 after the Zimbabwe government succumbed to the pressure of the war veterans who lost patience with the Lancaster House conference which has agreed to facilitate the land redistribution to the landless majority.
The dispute between Harare and London results in violent land redistribution dabbed 'fast track' which led to Zimbabwe being isolated and sanctioned to the point that inflation and devalued Zimbabwe dollar eventually left into the dust bin.
After the formation of all inclusive government and adoption of multi-currency in February 2009 the situation is now back to normal.
The commercial sector and subsistence sector is now recieving support from government ,international donors and other financial sectors.
The support range from technical support, education and extension services, marketing facilities , better seeds and improved techniques of production such as conservation farming and water management.
Other services which still rendered by the government include testing of,new crops such as cereals, horticultural and regumes by Variety Testing Centre (VTC) and livestork research facilities ,veterinary control and research services, such as Handerson for veterinary,Kutsaga for Tobacco,Kadoma for cotton and Grasslands for horticulture.
Conservation farming is now offered by the NGOs through research done by Foundations of Farming sponsored by a church organisation Rivers of life ministries.
Marketing facilities provided by government is through boards such as Tobacco Marketing Board(TIMB),Grain Marketing Board(GMB) ,Cotton Company of Zimbabwe(COTTCO),Dairy board Zimbabwe and Cold storage company. They provide marketing services outright at fixed or floor prices ,like for example grains ,cattle and milk ,tobacco at the auction floors for regulatory control over marketing inorder to maintain stability.
The Government trained extension officers to help farmers in rural areas to increase production.
Research work undertaken in recent years at several agricultural research stations in the country resulted in substantial increased yields of agriculture produce .The agricultural colleges increased from two to 14 around the country, since 1980.Universities also increased as open university and other private institutions are providing training for the generation of farmers.
The government blueprint STERP was planned to revamp comprehensively the agricultural sector to realise economic turnaround stratergy. This would increased exports ,expand employment creation and generate enough raw materials for the the africulture and manufacturing industries. The project became successful.
The tobacco output in 2009-2010 season increased by 144% than the previous season.Grain production also increased ,eventhough affected by drought this season.
The government 's major plans to construct dams developed very well to have more irrigation facilities all over the country.

The tobacco output in 2009-2010 season increased by 144% than the previous season.Grain production also increased ,eventhough affected by drought this season.
The government 's major plans to construct dams developed very well to have more irrigation facilities all over the country.
Principles of Conservation Farming on cropping !
Timeliness of planting means planting should be on time so that the crop get enough conditions necessary for growing, for example in Zimbabwe the longest day is 23 December so a farmer should ensure most of the crops planted before this day so that the potential yields is guaranteed.Usually late planting is selfish which compromise on maximum produce.Delaying planting reduces yields at 120KGs per day /hectare.
The planting should be at standard through making proper recommended plant spacing in rows and inter rows. Do by modelling planting in proper mulching ,proper placement of fertilisers ,no weeds allowed to compete with crops.Minimum disturbance of soil and moisture management through good mulching. No burning .no ploughing as soil inversion is of no significance.
Planting should be done without wastage manure ,fertilisers should be placed in the plant rows every year.Crop rotation allows soil to generates fertility builds up over years and utilises fertility at different soil depth.Crop rotation should be atleast 20% legumes.
When doing the conservation farming the farmer should do it with joy so that s/he can do it properly following every step with zeal. All the concepts need to be practiced with humility and starting small then enlarging the area every year with proper assessment and evaluation.
The conservation farming in Zimbabwe is the only way to make the land sustainable and ensure that the population is getting enough food whilst maintaing the environment suitable for future use.Without improving conservation Agriculture management in developing countries like Zimbabwe the environment will continue to degrade.Caring about environment is not a luxury but it is a prime necessity because Zimbabwe's main industry is Agriculture with the 80% of the population heavily depends on.This implies that a holistic approach is needed to ensure that this industry is sustainable and the welfare of the people is the priority. Therefore more work is needed to encourage all farmers large or small to adopt this method so that it become successful.

KINGS OF THE JUNGLE: CHEETAH AND LEOPARD
Cheetah and leopard are the largest largest cats in Africa. They found in the African rocky jungles ,swamps ,forests and scrublands of southern to central Africa.Unlike most cats these big cats are at home on the ground or trees but also on the rocks. Most of these species are upto 2 metres long ,with a tail and cheetah can splint if going for its prey. Both of them has good comaouflage with the vegetation even rocks.Because of this mystery and illusiveness of these large cats ,they are also difficult to find! The cats' tawny golden coat splashed with black rosettes ,which enclose smaller spots ,helps it hide and then disappear into the shadows without being seen. I myself has difficult to distinguish a leopard and a cheetah ,with some say leopard has more spots than cheetah and cheetah is longer than leopard. But what if it is still younger you easily say its leopard than cheetah. However cheetah run faster than leopard.
The leopard can awaits for its prey while perched silently in the tree. With one powerful bite on the neck .It cuts the throat to suck the blood as it kills.
These cats are a great threat to attack human beings. Although park experts say you can walk on the forest without seen them ,but these cats can see you and ignore.
The cats once found roaming in mountainous areas all over Africa.Today ,they are very scarce and only left in the conserved areas. Longback hunters killed them in honour of the chiefs who want the spotted skins which they regarded gave them with much diginity and pride.
In zimbabwe the lion cheetah park was created just few kilometres outside Harare along Bulawayo road to protect the endangerd species like the big African cats as an efforts to preserve it.

Birds in Zimbabwe:Swynnerton's robin, Cape batis and Stripechecked bulbul
Zimbabwe has over 620 bird species which offically recorded . The number is equal to bird species found in north American and Australia which is much much larger area as compared to Zimbabwe.According the bird expert Peter Ginn ,Zimbabwe's birds are relatively easily found if the observers visited their correct habitat.
Most of the birds found in highlands especially the eastern higlands where there is thick forests and evergreen vegetation. The other parts of the country where these birds species found are in msasa and mopane woodlands as well as in grasslands where birds are living and reproducing comfortably.
Swynnerton's robin:
Swynnerton 's robin is widespread in small patches in forests of eastern highlands ,particulary in Chipinge and Nyanga.
The birds are not easy to see because of not noisy and very small in size,Their distinctive sounds enables watchers to locate them especially during breeding season when they communicating with mates.
The birds usually don't migrate which help the watchers to easily spot its habitat. This is because they restricted by the presence of thickest. They usually found in areas where there is a fair amount of undergrowth. They move frequently on the ground hopping from twig to log and back on to the ground. Its main food is insects and berries.
Like warblers they build a deep cup-shaped nest which is large enough to cover the whole bird inside.
The nests are located in the middle of large mass of coarser material and are not easily seen.
Cape batis
This birds are found on higher elevations in highlands in Zimbabwe.Cape batis occur at sea level in Cape south Africa.
Usually this birds live in pairs in summer where oftenly paired adults have only one or two young ones.
The male has a black chest bar while the famale has rufous throat and chest.
Birds build a beatiful cup-shaped nest which is usually well covered lichen to camouflage it.The female incubats whilst firmly sits and the obsever can approach almost one metre without leaving the nest.
This is one of the birds produce a lot of sounds with a variety of pitches .Mostly one to three notes repeated many times. The sounds are clear communication to relatively small bird which could easily listen attentively ,when overlooked in the tall forests.
Stripechecked bulbul
These are somes called greenbuls because of their black plumage. This plumage is the comflouradge which makes it difficult to spot it when disappear in forest especially when foraging in scrub or bushes.
They usally make their nests in thick vegetation near pathways as they seek refuge from monkeys in forests. These paths are where human beings walk frequently which may avoid monkeys to distroy nests.
The nest is a fairy small neat cup of fine grass rootlets, decorated with fine fibrous material.Their nests are located low down approximately three metres above the ground.
I hope you left with many queries and general comments feel free to share with the writer.

The common decidious tree in Zimbabwe:MSASA
Botanical name:Brachystegia spiciformis
English name :Msasa
Chishona name:Monhondo,Musasa
National tree number:252
Description:
A relatively medium to large tree ,8 to 15 metres in height ,the branches are heavy ,thrusting upwards and outwards ,often twisting and curving, producing a well balance plant and is the most scattered tree species in Zimbabwe. Its dominants and ecological importance over many areas giving many people to think that savanna woodlands is this species which occurring in open areas and are known as the decidious woodlands. This trees tolerate various soil types ranging from heavy clay to poor sand soils.
The bark is pale grey and smooth when young, then becoming rough ,dark grey ,deeply fissured vertically and coarsely ,horizontally cracked, slowly flacking in thick ,irregular scales.
Leaves are pendulous ,dark green ,shiny leafylets usually in four pairs ,the terminal pair being the largest oblong -elliptic ,2,5 to 8x1 to 4,5 cm with or without very fine hairs ,stipules are like threads falling very early.
Flowers are small ,greenish which are short, dense with thickset terminal spikes ,3 to 6 cm long .Frowers produce a very sweet scent.
Fruits are large wood pods which are flat upto 14cm in length .The colours are brown and very smooth when matured.
Diagnostic characters:Flowering period begin in early August to November .Fruit development begin in May and matures in August where the pods splitting exposively scattering seeds at a considerable distances which eventually grow to make the msasa woodlands.
Dstribution:Msasa is the most tree species which densely cover the whole of Zimbabwe and well spersed in Zambezi valley, Limpopo valley and a strip along border with Botswana up to Victoria falls.Hence msasa become the major woodlands of Zimbabwe and the commonly used wood in domestic uses of the Bantu people.
Habitat:Open woodland or in wooded grasslands common in all tropical conditons including the semi-arid to arid areas.
Economic uses:The young leaves branches and leaves are good good for both grazers and blowsers especially during the late winter, spring and early summers where the only green plants is this decidious species. The seeds also eaten by various animals in the bush. This is the neatest indigenous species in the indigenous forests of Zimbabwe.Like the Mupfuti trees the Msasa barks contain 13% tanin which is the best ingredient in tanning industry. The major source of energy in Zimbabwe is fuelwood especially in rural areas.Msasa is the most reliable source of energy ,even to the tobacco farmers.Msasa worms are also excellent source of protein to those who need this worms as food which are known as "madora" by the chishona bantu people.
The flush colours of the young leaves which vary from pale fawn to deep claret -red and these trees are important among contributors to the splendid in spring and all year round are among the most beautiful trees in the world. This attracted most of the visitors who feel relaxed and much serenity when admiring the blosom of the vegetation. The tourist enjoy the good shade provideded by these trees which is cool and very pleasant whilst walking in the bushes.
The brown wood is usde by the local people in general timber purposes at their home, although it is not durable.
Other uses:An in fusion of roots provide treatment for dysentery and diarrhoea and decoction is applied as an eyewash in cases of conjunctivitis. The stripped barks if chewed is good at relieving constipation .This stripped barks which is soft used for general tying purposes at home including thatching and other crafts work.
Propagation:The seeds can easily put into wet soils and germinate readily ,but the seedlings are difficult to transplant and this species are very slow to grow.It is very necessary to conserve this in its original woodlands and avoid frequent veld fires which is a threat to the survival of this species. This species succesfully hybridised with B. glaucescens and B. microphylla .

The common decidious trees in Zimbabwe:MOUNTAIN -ACACIA
Mountain -acacia is the deciduous trees common in Zimbabwe which mostly shade during the winter and sprout new beautiful leaves in spring towards the approaching summer where beautful green vegetation beautify the woodlands when the grass is dry and when there is no other green found in the dry hot areas.
Botanical name:Brachystegia glaucescens
Chishona name:mutondo
National tree number :249
Description:A beautiful spreading tree up to 15 metres in height ,incline to develop a flat top, confined to the summits of slopes of rock hills and kopjes
The bark is smooth ,grey ,sparsely flaking in round discs.
The leaves with 10 to 16 pairs of leaflets ,or even more ;leaflets rather small ,oblong ,1,3 to 3 xo,4 to 1 cm, bluish -green to dark green above ,paler below ,apex broadly tapering to rounded ,base asymmetric, the inner side tapering ,the outer side lobed ;margin entire ;petiolules almost absent ,patiole up to 1,5 cm.
Flowers which are small ,creamy -white ,in short ,terminal ,branched headed ,or panicle up to 4x4cm .
Fruits are dark brown to purplish ,wood pod 8 to 13 cm long .
Diagnostic characteristics:This species produce good shades in high areas where you can sit whilst observing the vegetation and other far places in a cool place. This spices produce most of the vivid flush colours .
Flowering around September to October ,then fruits appear in April to July.
Distribution:The mountain -acacia is relatively scattered around the whole country. But it is more densely thick in mountainous areas such as the eastern higlands ,headlands ,and some parts of midlands.
Economic uses:The wood is the best useful general purpose timber if treated against borers.Like the mupfutis they are good to use as firewood and tobacco farmers rely heavly on this for curing. This tree during the summer produce good worms like mopane which can be harvested dried and found its way in produce markets ,supermarkets and other various food outlets. All browsers eat the leaves especially cattle goats and other plain wild animals.
Other uses:The barks the inner stripped soft ,although bitter than of mupfuti can also be chewed and help to fight constipation and kill other tape worms in the stomarch.Seeds can be eaten by small animals.
Propagation:The pod splitting explosively and immediately spiralling ,dispersing seeds at considerable distances.
