Art defines our whole way of life for instance customs traditions ,norms ,values,language ,habits ,dress and so on.These should be recognised ,respected and transmitted from one generation to the other .One way of doing that is through Art .Activities done in Art help in transmitting culture such activites range from painting,drawing ,pottery ,weaving ,basketry, sculpting ,music and so on.

Types of Art:
♦Abstract Art is a term given to forms created by the artist usually derived from objects actually observed or experienced.Abstraction usually involves a simplification of objects to meet the needs of artistic organisation.
♦Representational Art is a manner of expression by the Artist in which the subject matter is presented through the visual elements so that the observer is reminded of actual forms.
