Things to check when you plan to build your house

Price,how much it cost and build the best that can be afforded.Number of rooms should be enough for the family now and in future .If you don't plan properly you can have problems in the near future.Number of power point(electric power points).The fittings that's cupboards and shelves etc.Space for children to play and the garden.
How water is heated that's solar ,electricity gyser or boiler.The number of windows ,curtaining also consider the amount of light that get into the house ,privacy and security .Consider windows to be suitable for your house and are burglar barred.
Is it noisy or a quiet area? The amount of traffic at different times of the day/month or year.
General Appearance:
The appearance of the building should be attractive especially to the owners for comfort.The site which is too exposed cause wind problems. The steps may be not ideal for the eldery and invalids.
Privacy:
Everyone requires privacy but the degree varies some need more privacy than others.If it lacks it can be obtained by means of walls ,fences and remisas hunt differs from the municipal to municipal.
Where a house is overlocked by a block of flats or a taller house privacy is difficult to achieve.Peace and quiet are important to many people so when choosing a prospective home consider the possible proximity of neighbours swimming pool ,tennis court and other sources.
Bedrooms:
It would be ideal to include an east facing window in addition to a north facing window.It creates a feeling of space to have windows on two sides of a room even in tiny bedroom.Make a considerable allowance to have enough space for a bed not to squeeze against the wall and for you to move around your bedroom.
Make enough allowance for your dressing table or desk preferably with natural light coming from outside .
There is need for space of a door openning and door leading to the backyard gardening area is also delightful.Bedrooms aren't there for sleeping in only .You may consider to include heating systems ,study area ,TV,PC area for hobby like sewing and playing with your partner .
Communal Rooms:
These are rooms where the family can spend time together and should be at the heart of the house.They should face north as people will only use them to full effect if they get the sun.Light should enter the rooms on atleast two sides .This makes the space feel less box like and it lets in softer light
Bathrooms:
They are used for such short periods .It is not essential that they should face north .It can be pleasant ,if a bathroom gets sun particularly in the morning.You may prefer a brisk shower in a modern bathroom or relax in a bathroom you need.
Entrance Halls:
Pegs,if you like to have an entrance hall try to keep it decorative styles be constant with the rest of the house.
Braai Areas /Patios Barbecue:
It is an ideal place for outdoor meals and entertainment and as such be conviniently near the kitchen and living room.
You may consider furnishing it as an extension of the living rooms in the house.It should receive full sun ,therefore can face any direction.
Barbecue /braai is permanent built in fire place or a portable unit.
Bear in mind that a permanent braai area must be carefully sited in relation with wind direction.
