SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH EDUCATION TO HELP AN ADOLESCENT !

Sexual reproductive health is a state of complete physical mental and social well being and is not merely the absence of diseases or infinity in all matters related to reproduction system to its functions and processes.
Adolescents should learn about reproductive health in formal education system . How the male and female reproduction system operate. At adolescent phase teenagers should be access to sufficient knowledge of moral aspects of sex ,physically and emotionally.Because its now common and unavoidable to see boys and girls at school hooked up at the age of 14,15 or 16. There must be an awareness of possible diseases which can be contracted during sexual contacts and penetration system. And be exposed to the approaches that provide them with information which is relevant and help them when they are adults.
Nevertheless sexual discussions at this age groups is not freely open ,because teens has the tendency of holding back from questions either responding or asking. since they developed the sense of shyness ,fear to talk of improper conduct to both teachers and their parents.
In the classroom situation ,it is recommended that ,instead of confronting an adolescent with direct questions about particular matter regarding sex education. The teacher should tactifully ask how the adolescents view certain sexual issue. For example "Many people today feel that oral sex isn't really sex. Is that how your other peers feel?"(Awake!November 1 ,2010)Questioning an adolescent indirectly makes the lesson to progress smoothly because they will likely to open up and express their views freely. Like a radio discussion discussed by Radio Zimbabwe presenter Tilda Moyo, who reveals that other teenagers in Goromonzi District in Zimbabwe proclaim that they are virgins ,because they indulge in oral sex not vaginal penetration inoder to keep their virginity until they get married.
Although many societies because of their religious beliefs or moral obligations they condemn abortion at all costs and being discussed in the formal education system. But abortion the termination of pregnance before the foetus can survive in 24 weeks gestation period. This can be spontaneous or induced. There must be a post abortion care which can be done. Teenagers should be well informed on threats of abortion.
Family planning services should help the adolesents to reduce unwanted pregnancies or high risk pregnancies that may led to material ill health services including counselling information and contraceptives.
Prevention and management of sexually transmitted diseases(STDs) including HIV&AIDS. There are high cases of transmission of STDs including HIV &AIDS cases. The adolesents should be aware of all this cases and be in a position to change their rapid sexual behaviours so as to reduce the spread of these diseases in the community.
Screening and management of cancer on the reproductive stract. Cancer of reproduction system found on the sexual genitals may lead to poor health and death. Interference in early detention can improves their health.
Treatment of infertility implies the management to deal with reproduction health ,presupposes the ability to reproduce and the freedom to decide how to do so. There is a need for more information on fertility.
Reproductive health condition people to be able to have safe sex . A satisfication sex prolongs the life of adults if it is done healthly by reducing multiple partners in their life. Couples need to know if they are capable of reproducing by consulting medical practitioners and have freedom to decide when and how to do so.
sexual health are behaviours and attitudes that makes sexual relationships enjoyable ,being protected from harmful practices and sexually transmitted diseases. There must be also a control over sexual accesses.
Sexuality is an awareness and feeling about your own body and other body especially the body of sexual partner. It enables us to feel good about how our body look and feel.
Remember sexuality begins at birth and ends at death. This part of sexuality affect us in several ways: Body image ,feeling of physical attraction ,satisfying skin hunger and fantasy. All human beings experiencing sexual pressure and need to release of sexual tension.
Factors that influences sexuality are parents ,friends ,siblings, media, magazines and society in general. Components of sexuality are sensuality ,intimacy and sexual identity. *Remember sexuality begins at birth and ends at death.
Hence sexual education is an ongoing process throughout one's life.Despite the fact that granted talking to adolescents about sex is one of the most awkward of teaching and learning challenges in the adolescents sexual education .But for the wellbeing of the society it is well worth the effort to be done by both junior primary and secondary adolescents in a classroom situation. Open discussion on sexual issues is a bonding opportunity between those in authority and the developing adolescents and open communication is the lifeblood of a healthy and wellbing society.
